Party leaders unite to support ‘see me’ campaign
Scotland’s political leaders came together today to unite in support for ‘see me’, Scotland’s national campaign to end the stigma and discrimination against mental ill health.

Annabel Goldie, Iain Gray, Alex Salmond and Tavish Scott joined together for a photo call in the Scottish Parliament in support of the campaign today.
1 in 4 Scots experience mental health problems and more than half of these individuals have experienced some form of stigma or discrimination.
Commenting after the event, ‘see me’ Campaign Director Suzie Vestri said: “The stigma associated with mental ill health can be more distressing and damaging for individuals than the symptoms of the condition itself.
“I am delighted that Scotland’s political leaders united together today in support of ‘see me’ and the work we do across Scotland to end the stigma and discrimination associated with mental ill health.
“Good mental health is just as important as good physical health.”
‘see me’ has secured an exhibition stand in the Scottish Parliament this week to display the winning entries from the 2009 National Photography Competition.
